Starting off, these community websites will offer visitors a place to discuss news and various topics related to their city. We offer classified ads for those folks who are looking for employment, wanting to purchase or sell an automobile, or wishing to offer their services to the public. Image galleries are available to the citizens. Here visitors will be able to post pictures of family reunions, city events, and town architecture. Citizens will have the ability to create and maintain their own blog. An events calendar is available for posting of city events. As well, current weather and news are also available to the visitors of the website.
This service is being offered free of charge to all municipalities who are interested. Using the free option means that we inject some small text link advertisements related to the content of your site to cover our expenses. This free site will be owned and maintained by HostingKC Internet Solutions.
If you would like to manage your own municipal website for your citizens, there are rental and buyout options.
In renting a municipal site, HostingKC will be responsible for building and maintaining your website. A monthly fee of $75 (based on population of 1-25,000 residents) will be billed to you with three months prepaid before the website goes live. Text based ads will not be used as your rental will cover our expenses. If the rental is canceled, HostingKC Internet Solutions may take ownership of the site, however text ads will be injected to cover our expenses. A $60 per hour rate applies to all customizations or changes in the website to your specs above the base installation.
A buyout option is available for those who wish for us to build the website allow you to administer it. A build fee of $1150 will be paid prior to work beginning on your website. If you wish to have HostingKC Internet Solutions host your website, $40 monthly will be charged to your account. Text ads will not be injected into your website. A $60 per hour rate will apply for customizations or support above the base installation and 2 hours of included support.
With both the rental and buyout option, a $60 per hour rate will apply for customizations past the base installation.
